Welcome to BARS. These Terms govern your use of the BARS app and website at bars.manta-web.com. By creating an account or using BARS you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
BARS is an AI-powered song lyric analysis app that works across all genres - hip-hop, pop, rock, R&B, jazz, country, indie, and more. You can search for songs (by typing or by speaking), identify a song playing around you using your device's microphone, view lyrics, tap any line for an AI-generated explanation, and view contextual information about the song's production history.
You're responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Don't share your account with others. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password or revoke your Google connection immediately.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a BARS account. If you live in a jurisdiction with a higher age of digital consent (such as the EU, where it's 16 in some countries), you must meet that age.

BARS offers a free tier (with daily limits on AI analyses) and a Premium subscription via Google Play.
BARS sources song lyrics from LRCLIB as the primary source - a free, MIT-licensed, community-contributed lyrics database - with Genius as a fallback for tracks not available on LRCLIB. All lyrics remain the intellectual property of their respective rights holders (songwriters, music publishers, and labels). The AI-generated analyses are derivative commentary, not the lyrics themselves.
You may not redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit the lyrics shown in BARS outside of personal use within the app.
If you are a rights holder and believe a specific lyric should be removed from BARS, contact us at bars@manta-web.com and we will remove it from our cache promptly.
BARS uses Anthropic's Claude language model to interpret song lyrics, generate song stories, and define individual words. While we tune the prompts carefully, AI can:
Treat every interpretation BARS shows you as an educated guess, not a verified source. Do not rely on BARS for academic papers, legal arguments, journalistic reporting, or factual research without independent verification. Don't use AI-generated content to make claims about real people, events, or organizations.
If you spot a factual error or misleading interpretation, send us feedback from the Profile screen. We use these reports to improve our prompts.
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent. If you have an active Premium subscription, account deletion does not cancel it - you must cancel via Google Play separately. Refer to our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data on deletion.
BARS is provided "as is". We make no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and at bars.manta-web.com/terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel, except where applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
